2 years later, they are still a favorite toy enjoyed by my kids as well as visiting friends. These were a gift for my daughter's 3rd birthday. They have very little magnification, but they are great for pretend play.
He loves that he can push the button and the light comes on. I've looked through them and they are pretty worthless as far as the binocular but very cute toy nontheless. I bought these for my little boy and he adores this toy. He doesn't use the binocular part.
Although the optics are horrible, kids are not exactly into the details as much as into looking for bugs, using the headlights or listening to the sounds. You cannot beat the price/fun factor of this toy. I would not hesitate to buy again.
It is really cute and she doesn't even really know how to use them correctly yet, which she will as she grows older so this can grow with her too. I highly recommend. My daughter got this for Christmas and just loves it and she is 18 months old. It has a lot of fun things on it and the lights on it are actually really nice, they do help you see in the dark.
Volume would be nice. The light is pretty bright. Cute songs it plays. Cute toy we picked up really cheap. Definitely out of the age range of our children, 6 and 3, but they still have a ball with them, roaming around in their room in the dark. The strength of the lenses aren't spectacular but good enough for the kids.
